Pushing out copiers to an Intune workstation

Intune:

Platform: Windows 10 and later

Profile type: Template

Template name: Device Restrictions

Configuration Settings:

Printer

Enter DNS names of copiers you wish to add

You can also select a default but this may conflict if there are multiple printer policies applied to the same machine.

Printers will add via WSD, you will need to make sure this is turned on in settings on the copier.

 

Copiers added this way will be present for all users who use the computer but setup will have to be initiated by someone initially.

Recommend when possible going to each computer and signing in to the company portal.

 

Note: only one Configuration Profile with printing stuff can be applied to any machine. Be sure that the policies do not conflict.

 

Client Computer:

If the computer has the following policy assigned to it, a user must sign in to the company portal and sync the computer.

  1. Login to the PC w/ an email address & pw

  2. Go to “Company Portal”

  3. Click the settings gear

  4. Sync the computer

  5. Press Windows + L to lock

  6. Give the computer time to deploy the printers and follow up.

Once this is done, all future users will see the deployed printers.
