Kaltura: UConn's Video Platform

ITS supports Kaltura. Kaltura is a cloud-based media capture and storage application that facilitates the integration of multi-media content into the UConn learning management system, HuskyCT. Faculty, staff and students can create videos and video quizzes in Kaltura and embed them into their courses, among many other tasks.

Kaltura can be equated to YouTube, however all videos are private until manually shared and there is no comment section underneath videos.

With Kaltura, instructors in University classrooms can record and publish their lectures without making prior arrangements with the ITS. In addition, recordings can be made from personal computers in the office or at home.

For instructions on how to record in classrooms, see Self-Service Live Streaming.
