Report Field Name	FERPA
Definition/Usage	For student records purposes, this is a flag used to indicate whether a student has formally requested to restrict the release of their Directory Information. Students who have formally requested their directory information not be released have “opted out” or have a “FERPA Shade”.
Values	Y - student formally requested a FERPA shade. N - student does not have a FERPA shade.
Example	Y
Notes	Do not disclose any student information to third parties if the student has placed a FERPA restriction to their record. For inquiries, please reach out to the University Privacy Office.
