Fix Webex Deactivation Message

Students, faculty, and staff who have used WebEx for meetings and have received notice that their account is going to be deactivated due to non-use can view the steps below to regain access.

The WebEx Deactivation Message

You will receive the following or similarly-worded and valid email message if you have not logged in to your WebEx account for 365 days.

Sent: Tuesday, April 28, 2020 2:16 AM
To:  Lastname, Firstname <firstname.lastname@uconn.edu>
Subject: Your UConn Webex account will be deactivated on 4/29/2020

*Message sent from a system outside of UConn.*

Hi Firstname Lastname,

This is a courtesy reminder that your UConn Webex account will be deactivated in [#] day(s) because you have not signed in to webex.uconn.edu recently. UConn Webex accounts are deactivated after 365 days of no activity.

If you want to keep your account active, sign in to webex.uconn.edu with your NetID before [DeactivatedDate]. If you have not signed in by that date, your account will be deactivated. 

If your account has been deactivated, please reach out to techsupport@uconn.edu for help in reactivating your account.

Reactivating your WebEx Account

There are two ways to reactivate your account:

  1. If still active, log in to UConn Webex before the date mentioned in the email to self-reactivate.

  2. If already inactive, contact techsupport@uconn.edu to ask for reactivation of your WebEx account.
