Synchronizing Your NetID Password (Password Test)

Students, faculty, staff, and University affiliates can perform a password synchronization test to check if their University accounts are synchronized on UConn servers.

NetID Passwords can become unsynchronized for various reasons, the most common being the age of the password. Old or outdated passwords can result in users losing access to various University applications (most commonly Wi-Fi and Active Directory).

Running a NetID Password Test

  1. Navigate to the NetID website.

  2. Sign in with your NetID and NetID password.

  3. Click on My NetID in the blue ribbon.

  4. Select Password Test from the drop-down menu.

  5. Enter your login information.

All three tests should pass and show a "Synchronized" message in the box next to it.

If one of the test results is red (i.e., Unsynchronized), see Changing Your NetID Password.
