Where to save your work on AnyWare Desktops

The Enterprise File System or P:\ was replaced by OneDrive. Students working on UConn AnyWare Desktops can save files to Microsoft OneDrive more conveniently. Logon credentials get passed to M365 Apps like Word and Excel.

Once an app is opened, save your work immediately, even if you just started a new document or spreadsheet. This enables autosave and creates automatic versioning. Work created in M365 Apps get saved OneDrive. One drive is accessible from the web or from any M365 application after you sign in with your uconn.edu credentials.

The other option is to save your work using Save To My Device.

  1. In the file address field select “This PC”.

  2. In the Network locations section of Windows Explorer, double click on P:\.

If you drag files into the “Save to my Device (Citrix icon) the file or folder will download to the device, you are remoting from.
