Updating the registry to resolve problems with Outlook 2016 autodiscover
Download the attached registry key for create one using these steps.
Create a registry key to import
- Open a new document in notepad. Please note: notepad or similar ascii text editor is required to prevent errors.
- Paste the preformatted text below into the new .txt document
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\AutoDiscover]
"ExcludeHttpsRootDomain"=dword:00000001
- Save the document as outlook.reg
- Close the document you just created as outlook.reg
- Double click on outlook.reg txt file you downloaded or created to import the value into the registry.
- Retry these instructions Configure Outlook on my laptop
