Navigating the Details and Actions Menu in Ultra Course View

The Details and Actions menu is the main point for instructors to access course tools, and manage the course.

This menu largely replaces the Course Management menu found in Original Course View.

A. Roster- Instructors can view the users enrolled in the course, enroll additional users, and edit a user's role or availability.

B. Progress Tracking- Instructors can enable progress tracking features.

C. Course Image- Instructors can change the course image that is displayed on the title card for the course.

D. Course is open- Instructors can change the course availability, either making the course private or completing the course, which allows students read-only access to the course.

E. Class Collaborate- Blackboard’s built-in video conferencing tool, allows instructors to host video conferences with their students from within HuskyCT Ultra. Instructors can access recordings, change settings, and begin meetings here.

F. Attendance- As UConn is non-attendance grading university, this feature does not need to be used. It also cannot be removed/hidden from the Details & Actions menu at this time.

G. Books and Tools- Instructors can access course tools, as well as any books that integrate with HuskyCT. Here instructors can configure tools like WebEx, Teams, and Respondus LockDown Browser.

H. Question Banks- Instructors can import question pools from their Original course, or from a source such as a textbook publisher, provided the pool contains supported question types.

I. Microsoft Teams- Instructors can enable Microsoft Teams to create a Microsoft “Team” that is associated with the course.
