Submitting Your Final Plan of Study

Undergraduate students who intend to graduate are required to submit a Final Plan of Study.  The instructions below can be used to submit your Final Plan of Study through the Student Administration System. 

Before you submit your Final Plan of Study, you must apply for graduation in the Student Administration System.

Master's and Graduate Certificate students are required to submit an approved PDF final plan of study to degreeaudit@uconn.edu. Some graduate programs accept PDF plan of study forms found on the degree tab of the Steps to a Successful Graduation page. Other programs require a PDF plan of study generated through the Standard Advisement Report. Check with your advisor or department to find out how your plan of study should be submitted.

Doctoral students do not submit a final plan of study. An approved PDF plan of study is required by the time 18 credits are completed and can be found on the Doctoral Degrees page.

Submitting Final Plan of Study

  1. Log in to your Student Administration System account. 

  2. Select the Academic Progress & Advising tile. 

  3. Select Advisement Reports from the tile menu. 

    Select the Advisement Reports menu option in the Academic Progress and Advising tile.
  4. Select the Run Standard Report button on the Advisement Reports landing page. After a few moments, the Standard Advisement Report will display in a new tab.

  5. Select Submit Final Plan of Study.

  6. Select OK to confirm your request.  

  7. You will be prompted with a comment box for each of your majors and minors. The title of the major/minor is listed in the header of the comment box. Comments and attachments should be provided for anything that needs explanation, additional approval, or does not show as satisfied on your My Academic Requirements Report.

  8. Select OK to submit your comments with your Final Plan of Study. Once submitted, you will receive an email confirmation and your plan of study will be routed directly to your advisor. You can you monitor your Final Plan of Study status through View My Plan of Study Approvals.
