Server: Mother computer that holds all the pieces together

  • Carousel software is installed on this

  • IT department manages the server

Player: Digital signage media player receives all signage information from the server

  • Players are connected to displays via HDMI cable

  • The players power the content displayed on the screen

  • Players are owned by the department, school, or college

Channel: Collection of content displayed, split up into zones

  • Encompasses the entire screen

Zone: Sections of the channel that updates independently

  • Dividers of different messages on your channel

  • Several types of messages can appear on a loop within a zone in your channel

Tag: Used to drill down to specific zones to enable you to manage your contact easily

Bulletin: Different messages that appear in the zones

  • Bulletins represent the activity happening in each zone

  • Bulletins can be created from Twitter, Instagram, Calendars, Events, Photos, Videos, and more

Most of your work will be at the Zone level – editing & managing content for bulletins and external media (images and videos)

  1. Before getting to work, select the correct zone. Each zone has its own unique set of bulletins that update independently within your channel. If you have multiple channel displays, those channels can share zones.

  2. Determine which zone you are working in from the drop-down menu on the Main Menu page. Scroll through the list to find the zone you want to edit.

  3. Select which function you would like to perform in your zone: Creating Bulletins, Managing Bulletins, Managing Templates, Managing Media.
