Using Quick Assist for Remote Support
Students, faculty, and staff can use Quick Assist for remote support.Â
With Quick Assist, IT support professionals and other trusted colleagues can provide remote assistance on a Windows computer. Quick Assist is a Windows 10 application that enables two people to temporarily view or control a device over a remote connection. The agent (i.e., the person offering help) generates a 6-digit code via Quick Assist that is then shared with the customer (i.e., the person accepting assistance).Â
Both parties must agree to this interaction. Only engage with trusted individuals.
