Creating an Account Delegate Model

Staff can create an account delegate model in the Account section of the Chart of Accounts page in Kuali Financials (KFS). Staff may use account delegate models to set up delegation structures for the organization (department).

Once the model is created, users can easily apply this model to accounts by using the Create New Global from Model menu option. Doing so saves time if users have complex delegations such as different delegates based on eDoc type.   

Creating the Model

  1. Click on Account Delegate Model.  

  2. Click on Create New. 

  3. Complete all required fields, including the Account Delegate Model Name field. 

Using the Model

  1. Click on the Account Delegate Global From Model option.  

  2. Search for your model.  

  3. Click on Return Value to initiate an Account Delegate Global eDoc.  

  4. The Edit Global Delegate tab will be pre-filled on the eDoc. Add accounts on the Edit List of Accounts tab.
