KUALI RICE IMPLEMENTATION:

Contractor will design and assist with the implementation of a standalone Kuali Rice infrastructure to support KFS and an ad hoc workflow development environment as well as KFS workflow and security. During the planning phase, Contractor will reassess the scope of the Kuali Rice Project as described in 1.3.3. The broadly defined tasks required for this project include, but are not limited to:

1.         Provide detailed architecture and application design with optimal configuration options.

2.         Implement Kuali Rice infrastructure. Includes the following components:

a.         Kuali Enterprise Workflow (KEW) – workflow engine

b.         Kuali Nervous System (KNS) – development framework

c.         Kuali Enterprise Notification (KEN) – notification system for business communications

d.         Kuali Identity Management (KIM) – privilege management system

e.         Kuali Service Bus (KSB) – web services infrastructure

3.         Assist University staff with conversion of current production KEW applications to Kuali Rice applications:

a.         Administrative Task Authorization (ATA)

b.         Dependent Tuition Waiver (DTW)

c.         Inventory Control Workflow (ICW)

d.         Provost Travel Request workflow

e.         Request for Encryption Exemption (REEW)

f.          Master University Department (MUD) Table Web Service

g.         Kuali MUD Table Viewer (MTV) -- (Assessment of utilizing MTV versus PeopleSoft HCM organization structure for MUD table)

4.         Migrate KEW 2.2 workflow engine to Kuali Rice 1.x.

5.         Provide end-user interface for Kuali Identity Management in support of top down assignment and bottom up requests.

6.         Provide recommendations for best practices for future workflow development.

7.         Provide template for future workflow application development.
