eduroam is a secure, federated configuration that gives visitors from participating institutions encrypted access to wireless networks using their home institution credentials. UConn faculty, staff, and students can use eduroam for secure network access when at a participating institution. The visiting institution determines what resources eduroam users have access to.

  • Security Type: WPA2-Enterprise

  • Encryption Type: AES

  • EAP Type: Protected EAP (PEAP)

How to Connect

Open up the wireless (Wi-Fi) settings on your device. Select eduroam for your network.

When prompted:

  • Visitors at UConn: Log in with yourusername@homeinstitution.edu and password.

    • Refer to your home institution's instructions on connecting to eduroam

  • UConn Faculty, Staff, and Students: Log in with yourNetID@uconn.edu and NetID password

    • For Android devices, enter radius.uconn.edu in the Domain field, and NetID@uconn.edu in the Identify field.
