This article will show how to use the UConn VPN if you are not admin of your machine.
You should only use this method if you cannot install the full Pulse Secure Client found on software.uconn.edu
Install Pulse VPN
In order to get direct access, you must first connect to UConn VPN.
- Go to the Microsoft store.
- Search for "Pulse Secure."
- Select Get.
- If prompted to login, select "No Thanks."
- After install, go to VPN Settings.
- Add VPN Connection.
- Select Pulse Secure with the following:
- Name: Just a label of your choice
- Server name: https://vpn.uconn.edu
- Save and click Connect.
- Enter your NetID and password when prompted
If you receive the following message, the connection requires Duo Two-Factor Authentication and will not work using this method. Please install the full Pulse Secure Client to connect.
