In Webex, participants can raise their hand to obtain the attention of of the Host. Webex also refers to this button as "Ask to Speak" when using Webex Events. 

Raising Hand in Meeting - Desktop App

  • If you need to open your Participant Panel (shown above), do so by clicking on the Participant Panel icon that appears bottom of your screen when you move your cursor.
  • In the Participant Panel, click on the hand icon that resides next to your own name. The hand appears when you hover your cursor over your name.
  • Click this button again to lower your hand.

Raising Hand in Meeting - Web App (join from browser)

  • Move your cursor across the screen to make the buttons appear at the bottom.
  • Click on the ellipsis button.
  • Click Raise Hand.
  • Repeat these steps to lower your Hand.

What the Host sees:

  • The Host will see the Participants in the order that they raised their hands.
  • The rest of the Participants will remain in alphabetical order below those raising their hands.
