This article is intended for faculty and staff who wish to request HuskyVision for their classroom or department.

Requirements for HuskyVision

To set up HuskyVision for your classroom or department, you will need:

  • A cable-ready TV. If the TV is not cable ready you will need a cable-ready DVD/media device.
  • A coaxial cable to connect the TV to the HuskyVision faceplate (the faceplate with only a coax outlet).

Note

Per Fred Orde, 8/31/2021, there is only one TV connection / outlet per room.  Customer must run coaxial cable behind furniture if outlet is on the other side of the room or in an otherwise inconvenient location.

  • A second coaxial cable, if you are connecting a DVD/media device to the TV.

Coaxial cable connectors are available at the UConn Bookstore.

HuskyVision Pricing

  • Activation Fee - One Time Charge - $65.00
  • Basic Service - Monthly Charge - $12.00 per connection
  • Public Access Service - Monthly Charge - $65.00 per connection
