VLC Player

We are now pushing out VLC Player as an AppV application. See below for AppV and conventional installer instructions.

AppV Sequencer install notes:

Select Full install

Uncheck run VLC Player, we will do this in the configuration phase.

Configuration Notes;

Uncheck Check for Updates before finishing.

No additional customization need to be made.

AppV Application Creation notes:

Installs as a default AppV 5.0 application in System Center

EXE File

Silent Install String: <file> /L=1033 /S

Silent Uninstall String: "C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\uninstall.exe" /S

Detection Method: File "%ProgramFiles%\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" exists

Known issues:
It takes VLC Player a little while to realize it's been uninstalled but it successfully uninstalls on the first attempt reliably.
