How to Use Classroom Annotation Tablets
SMART Notebook 17
Due to Microsoft updates, the previous version of SMART Notebook is no longer compatible with the classroom PCs. ITS has acquired and deployed SMART Notebook 17; this application can be used with the remaining (discontinued) SMART podiums and the replacement annotation tablets.
Microsoft Ink
Annotation on PowerPoint presentation can be accomplished using Microsoft Ink, which is installed on the Windows 10 classroom computer image. This annotation method works similar to how SMART Ink was used on the now discontinued SMART Podium tablets.
Download these instructions for information on how to use Microsoft Ink.
Microsoft OneNote
You may use the tablet’s stylus as a pen in OneNote on the Hi-Tech Classroom computers. OneNote allows a user to annotate over a white background, import Powerpoint or PDF files, and annotate over them. Feel free to contact techsupport@uconn.edu with any questions or concerns.
