Providing Guest Access to Collaborate Meetings in Ultra Course View
This article is for instructors who wish to provide a guest link to Collaborate meetings for a person who is not enrolled in the course, such as a guest speaker.

Guest Access to the Course Room
The following steps can be used if you are only using the Course Room in Collaborate Ultra and not a scheduled meeting.
Go to you Ultra Homepage.
Under Details and Actions, locate Class Collaborate and click on the three small dots.
From the drop-down menu select Manage all Sessions.
Click on the Course Room at the top
Check the box that says Guest access.
Choose the Guest Role and copy the link by clicking the 3 small squares next to the Guest link and selecting Ctrl + C on your keyboard.
Click Save
You can now share this link with the guest for your course.
Create a Session and Give Guest Access at the Same Time
Go to you Ultra Homepage
Under Details and Actions, locate Blackboard Collaborate and click on the three small dots.
Select Manage all Sessions.
Select Create Session.
Under Event Details, select Guest Access.
Once this is selected, choose the Guest Role.
You must hit Create. Only then will the Guest link appear for you to copy.
Copy the link by clicking the 3 small squares next to the Guest link and selecting Ctrl + C on your keyboard.
Press Save at the bottom.
Guest Access in a Created Session
The following steps can be used when you want to add a guest to an already created session.
Note: This guide assumes prior knowledge on how to create a Collaborate Ultra session
Locate the session you need to get a Guest link for.
Click on the three dots and select Edit Settings .
Under “Dial in” locate the Guest Access check box.
Once this is selected, choose the Guest Role.
You must hit Save. Only then will the Guest link appear for you to copy.
Copy the link by clicking the 3 small squares next to the Guest link and selecting Ctrl + C on your keyboard.
Press Save again.
