LastPass at UConn
LastPass is a password manager that enables you to store your passwords and personal information in a virtual safe called a password vault. When you log in to password protected services, LastPass automatically fills in the password for you.
Your UConn LastPass account should be used for your UConn passwords only. Your account is disabled when you leave the university and cannot be recovered.

How LastPass improves your cybersecurity
Long, strong, and unique passwords are essential for staying safe in your digital life. UConn’s standards for NetID passwords require you to have one that’s at least 12 characters long, meets character recommendations, and has not been used in a known compromise (we check for you).
We recommend that you follow these practices for all the passwords that you create and that you never re-use passwords…but that can be a lot of passwords to remember! LastPass automatically fills in these passwords whenever you log into your accounts so that you don’t have to remember them. You can view, change, or delete them at any time within your password vault, which is accessible only with your master password. Your master password is concealed with code on your personal devices, so even LastPass is unable to read it.
To use LastPass for your personal passwords, you should create a separate account that you maintain access to after leaving UConn. During your time at UConn, you can still use premium features on your personal account when you set it up through Families as a benefit.
