Account Sponsorship Application Student Confirmation

As a student employee with a NetIDWork account, it is important that your account is imported to the Account Sponsorship Application moving forward. This action will be taken by your supervisor and will not require action on your end.

Once your account has been imported, you will be able to reset your NetIDWork password by yourself through netid.uconn.edu.

Once your account has been successfully imported, you will receive the following confirmation email by AccountSponsorship-NoReply@uconn.edu. This is how you know the action is complete.

This automated message confirms that your Student work account, NetIDWork has been imported into the Account Sponsorship Application. By being added to the Account Sponsorship Application, your Work account is now available in for use with our LDAP directory. You should go to netid.uconn.edu, log in with your Work account, and change your password to get your password properly synchronized. Additionally, you can configure password recovery options in case you forget your password. The Account Sponsorship Application is a utility created by ITS for managing the lifecycle of Affiliate, NetIDWork, and NetIDAdmin accounts. These accounts must now be sponsored by another employee (usually your supervisor) at the university. Your sponsor has been set to {sponsor_disp_name} ({sponsor}). You and your sponsor will receive email notifications as your account's expiration date ({exp_date}) approaches. Your sponsor must extend your account before the expiration date, otherwise the account will be deleted. Changing your Password

  1. Sign in to netid.uconn.edu with your NetIDWork account

  2. Select My NetID from the navigation bar at the top.

  3. Select Change Password.

  4. Enter your Old Password where designated.

  5. Enter a New Password that meets the criteria listed and has not been reused.

  6. Click Change Password.

Adding a Recovery Email/Number

  1. Sign in at netid.uconn.edu with your NetIDWork account.

  2. Select My NetID from the navigation bar at the top.

  3. Select Set Password Recovery Options.

  4. Enter a Secondary Email Address and click Save Changes.

  5. (Optional) Enter a Mobile Number and click Save Changes.
