Faculty and staff may request additional conferencing services beyond three-way and six-way conference calls with Verizon Business, the contracted provider of ITS.

As an alternative, you can use Webex as a phone bridge. There is no charge to use this service.

Requesting Conference Services with Verizon Business:

  1. Have your billing telephone number ready.

  2. Contact Verizon Business at 1-800-475-5000.

  3. Identify yourself as a State of Connecticut employee.

  4. Explain your conference call needs. (The most common service used is “instant meeting”; however, Verizon Business can help you determine what is best.)

  5. Provide Verizon Business with UConn’s agency and authorization codes. UConn’s agency code is 7301, and the authorization code is 2180337. 

Please schedule your conference call at least 24 hours in advance. Also, be aware that for all conference services except “operator-assisted,” any conference with 2 or fewer participants will prompt the request meeting organizer to press *1 to retain the conference bridge after 90 minutes.
