Exporting Calendars from Google Calendar
Exported calendars can be imported into another program.
The University is phasing out Google accounts for all affiliates in 2024. The information in this article may be out of date as the transition progresses. For more information about this process, see this article.
Exporting a Specific Calendar
On your computer, open Google Calendar.
In the calendar list on the left side, move your mouse over the calendar you would like to export and click the three dots.
Select Settings and sharing.
Click Export calendar in calendar settings.
The calendar will be downloaded as a .zip folder containing a .ical file.
Open the .zip folder that was downloaded and extract the .ical file.
In Windows, select the file and click Extract All in the ribbon at the top.
In Mac, the folder will be already be unzipped from opening it.
You can now import the .ical file into another program.
Exporting All Calendars
On your computer, open Google Calendar.
Note: You cannot export your calendar from the Google Calendar mobile app.In the top right, click Settings.
Click on Import & export.
Under the Export section, click Export. A ZIP file will be downloaded to your computer.
If you open the ZIP file, you will see individual .ical files for each of your calendars.
