Regional Faculty Travel to Storrs

General Overview:

Our past practice has been that faculty travelling between the regional campuses and Storrs for departmental required business (faculty meetings or meetings where attendance is required, or teaching duties. However, if it is an overload ask for additional justification) would have their travel expenses reimbursed (where allowable under the University’s mileage reimbursement policy) and the cost would be split 50% between CLAS and the campus. We understand that the addition of virtual meeting capabilities will minimize the need for in person attendance but that there may be a small number of times where it may be required.

Faculty members should work with fiscal staff at the regional campus or in their home academic department to help process these reimbursements through the Concur system.

Wherever possible, we should be providing virtual options.
