The Microsoft Single Sign-On browser extension enables Google Chrome to notify Microsoft whether a device is managed or un-managed in a Microsoft 365 tenant.

Managed devices are not subject to the one-hour Idle Session Timeout Policy for Office 365 web apps.

If you are using a UConn provided Windows laptop, this extension should be installed and enabled in Google Chrome by default. Navigate to chrome://extensions/ to verify.

Installing the Extension

  1. Open Google Chrome and navigate to Microsoft Single Sign-On Extension

  2. Click Add to Chrome

  3. Click Add extension

  4. The extension is now active and will keep you signed into Microsoft 365 web services upon your next login.
