This article is for faculty, students and staff, and provides instructions for changing your default audio and camera options, as well as for  for changing your preferences during a WebEx call. 

Tip

The "Use system setting" option will tell Webex to use the microphone/speaker/camera that Windows/MacOS labels as its default. You may also choose a device different than your OS default.

Note

If Webex initially only detects one camera, you are unable to change your choice of Webcam before hosting/joining the meeting.

During a Call

To change audio and camera options during a call, 

  1. Click on the caret in the Mute/Unmute button to alter Microphone Settings. Click on the caret in the Start/Stop Video button to alter Camera Settings.

  2. A pop-up menu will show the other audio input/output options.
