This article is for those that have recorded a Teams meeting and would like to share it with those that are outside of the organization or those who did not attend the meeting.

Only the owner of the meeting recording can update permissions for the recording.

  1. As the meeting recording owner, go to the recording in the Teams chat history and click on the ellipsis to select More options > Open in Microsoft Stream.

  2. In the Microsoft Stream portal, under the video, select the Ellipsis.

  3. Click Update video details.

  4. In the Permissions section, click on the My groups drop-down bar to choose whether you would like to share with an entire group, channel, or specific users.

  5. To give permissions to view for a specific user, select people and then type the user's name or email in the search bar. Select their name to add them to the list of viewers.

  6. Once you have given permission to view the recorded meeting, you are able to share it with a link. Click on the Share button at the bottom right.

  7. Click Copy to copy the link to your clipboard. You can then send this to those you have given permission by pasting the link in a Teams meeting or email.

  8. Alternatively, you can click on the Email tab at the top to email the link to users directly.

  9. Type in the user's email in the search bar and select their name from the drop bar. Click Add so that they appear as shown below.

  10. Click Send and close.
