This collaboration space has a system similar to a standard classroom.

Select a Source to have that device shown on every display.

The Display Controls buttons allows you to turn on/off specific displays.

The Camera Controls button allows you to manually control the camera and make use of the camera orientation presets.

The 8 microphones in the room are independent of the Source selection. The microphones are combined and always sent to the ceiling speakers and either the Computer or your Laptop. See below to send the microphones to your laptop.

A microphone should be placed on each table in the room to ensure optimal coverage of the students.

The monitor on the front desk will always show the Room Computer.

The microphones and camera are sent to either the room’s Computer, Laptop HDMI or HDMI USB-C. If you have Computer selected as your source, then the devices are sent to the Computer to be used with a video conferencing program (Webex, Teams, Zoom, etc.). If you have either the Laptop HDMI or HDMI USB-C source selected, the devices are sent over the USB-A cable that comes out of the technology rack. Be sure to plug the USB-A cable into your laptop.

 Optional Monitor Routing

This room has the optional feature of “source-destination” display routing. This means you can send different Sources to specific displays.

Each column of buttons represents a single display. Choose a source listed below a display to send it to that display only.

  • Only the source that is sent to the Front Display will have its audio shared in the room.

  • The monitor on the front desk will always show the Room Computer.

  • The Front Display’s source will also decide where the microphones and camera are sent. Choosing Computer in the first column will enable you to use the devices with a video conference program on the room’s computer; the same is true for laptops when choosing either Laptop HDMI or HDMI USB-C in the first column.

To return the room to its default, single-display mode, simply choose a source on the main Select a source screen.
