This article is for instructors who wish to learn more about the Needs Grading page in the HuskyCT Grade Center

Needs Grading vs. Full Grade Center

The Full Grade Center in HuskyCT displays all grades entered into the system as well as all grade columns (that are not hidden) present in the HuskyCT course. The Needs Grading page only displays student submissions that need some type of instructor feedback to be graded. Some examples of submissions that will appear in Needs Grading are assignment submissions and short answer test submissions. The Needs Grading page does not allow you to view any information that is not present in the Full Grade Center, but it provides an organized view of all items in your course which need to be manually graded.

Accessing the Needs Grading Page

  1. Open your HuskyCT course
  2. Under "Course Management", make sure "Control Panel" is expanded (you should see content below "Control Panel"). If this is not the case, click "Control Panel" to expand it.
  3. Click "Grade Center"
  4. Click "Needs Grading"

Grading a User Submission From Needs Grading

  1. Click on the name under "User Attempt" next to the item that you wish to grade
  2. Complete the grading process, then click "Submit" or "Save"

More information on grading assignments can be found on the "Grading Submitted Assignments" page.
