You will need to have a separate profile in the Outlook Desktop Version to send a mail-merge from a shared departmental account.
Exit Outlook and Teams
Choose Start > Control Panel > Search “Mail” (top right corner)
Click Add
Type the name of the profile (shared-email, for example) and click OK
Enter the shared email address sharedaccount@uconn.edu
If prompted for a password type YOUR Uconn Email - firstname.lastname@uconn.edu and NetID password.
Click Next > Finish
Back in the Mail window, select the new profile (shared-email) and select Prompt for a profile to be used.
Open Outlook and click the down arrow next to the profile name to select a profile – choose the shared account profile (e.g., shared-email)
. When you open Outlook, you should see the Shared Mailbox email address in the left-side column. It may take some time for Outlook to load all of the emails in the shared mailbox.
