This article is intended for an instructor looking to create a VoiceThread comment assignment. A VoiceThread comment assignment is one that allows students to view and place a comment on an existing VoiceThread.

This article assumes you have already created a VoiceThread in HuskyCT. For more information, on creating a VoiceThread assignment within HuskyCT or different types of VoiceThread assignments refer to: Creating a VoiceThread Assignment

  1. From the Assignment Builder, click Comment and Continue.

  2. Select an existing VoiceThread or create a new VoiceThread and click Continue

  3. Set the Participation requirements, including the minimum number of comments they need to post on the VoiceThread. You can also require students to add slides to this VoiceThread. Specify which commenting methods that students can use, as well as playback, users permissions.

  4. Create an Assignment name (this will be the name of the link in HuskyCT) and enter the Instructions. Entering a Start Date, Due Date, and Close Date is optional. These dates will specify when students can/cannot access the assignment.

  5. Assessment: The assessment method you select will determine the point value of the Grade Center column that is automatically created after publishing the assignment.

    1. Percentage: makes the assignment graded out of 100 points.

    2. Complete/Incomplete: makes the assignment graded out of 1 point.

    3. Points: allows you to set the point value for the assignment.

  6. Click Publish to finish.

  7. Once you see the “Success!” message, close the tab. Refresh your HuskyCT browser window, and the assignment link will appear.
