This article outlines when a user’s NetID is deactivated after they leave UConn.
Faculty, Staff, Professional Staff and Special Payroll:
30-day grace period. NetID will deactivate and the Office 365 account will be deleted 30-days following the end date. For example, if the end date is 6/30/22, the account expiration date will be 7/30/22.
Adjunct Faculty:
Receive a 365-day grace period. This is because most Adjunct teach only in the Fall or only in the Spring. This allows them to retain access in-between.
All users will begin receiving the daily 'Email Account Deletion Notifications' 30-days prior to deletion. This is the best indicator for employees that an account is scheduled for deactivation/deletion.
Emeritus Faculty:
Those Faculty who meet the criteria, and are awarded Emeritus status by the Board of Trustees, retain active NetID and Email for as long as they remain Emeritus.
