To create an unmanaged Google account using your UConn email address:

Tip

You must have access to your UConn email mailbox if you are going to use your UConn email address for this unmanaged account. If you are no longer affiliated with the university, you can maintain your UConn email address by using the Alumni Forwarding Service

  1. Go to the Google Account Sign In page: https://accounts.google.com/signin

  2. Click Create account.

  3. Enter your name.

  4. Click Use my current email address instead.

  5. Enter your email address. You may enter your UConn email address and click here. Click Next.

  6. Verify your email address with the code sent to your UConn emailaddress you entered.

Note

To ensure compliance with ITS and State of Connecticut data handling guidelines, UConn data cannot be stored in unmanaged Google accounts.

You may collaborate on data belonging to other organizations if Google is their chosen data storage platform.
