Navigate to s.uconn.edu/sharepoint and click on the site you would like to delete.
Once the site loads, it may be another few seconds before the settings gear appears at the top-right of the page. Click on this settings gear when it appears.
In the list of settings, click on Site information.
Remove the current site name and enter a new one.
Click Save.
Refresh the page to see your change.

It is possible for SharePoint sites to have the same name; their URL acts as their unique identifier. Exercise caution when creating multiple sites, as SharePoint won’t stop you from creating sites with the same name. |
