Full-time employees (faculty, staff, special payroll) are eligible to sponsor accounts for University affiliates, student employees (NetIDWork), and privileged access (NetIDAdmin). Employees that have a high level of administrative access to a system or application should have a NetIDAdmin account sponsored for them. NetIDAdmin accounts help separate day-to-day account tasks from those that can have a large impact on a University system and reduce the risk of phishing attacks compromising applications. NetIDAdmin accounts are not eligible to have emails created for them. If you sponsor a NetIDAdmin account for an employee, they will receive a new NetID in the format of aaa00000admin, where the first 3 letters and 5 numbers match their existing NetID. Learn how to sponsor NetIDAdmin accounts.
