This guide is intended for faculty, staff, and students to explain the different Realms (also known as Profiles) that are offered when connecting to the Cisco AnyConnect VPN.
VPN Realms (Profiles)
When you first connect to the Cisco AnyConnect VPN, you'll be presented with a list of different Realms - the following will explain each of these realms:
General-VPN
URL: anyconnect.uconn.edu/split
This is the standard VPN to which most everyone will be connecting. This VPN will allow you access to UConn Resources, as well as being Split-Tunneled (for an explanation of Split Tunneling, please see the following guide: About Split Tunneling on Cisco AnyConnect VPN)IAM-VPN
URL: anyconnect.uconn.edu/iam
This VPN connection is reserved for use by the Identity and Access Management Team.ISO-VPN
URL: anyconnect.uconn.edu/iso
This VPN connection is used by the Information Security Office.NetEng-VPN
URL: anyconnect.uconn.edu/neteng
This VPN connection is for the Networking Services Team.Privileged-VPN
URL: anyconnect.uconn.edu/priv
The Privileged VPN is used to grant ITS staff access to specific network resources for management purposes only.
