Finance Systems WF8 Security Model

Finance Systems security model in WebFOCU8 is split across 4 primary roles, and 1 additional global role. This security scheme is applied for users & groups under the Financial_Reporting content area

  • UCONNFinanceUser - Basic user access for executing centrally developed reports, creating custom reports, and scheduling+distribution of custom content in permitted Content Folders.
  • UCONNFinanceDeveloper - All permitted Basic User access, plus extended functionality for development of centrally developed reports and schedules, as well as Dashboards and charting capabilites
  • UCONNFinanceGroupAdmin - Specialized role for Finance Systems operational staff. Grants permissions to adjust user id's and group security permissions within the Financial_Reporting content area.
  • Administrators - This is explicitly granted to a minimal audience within Finance Systems team. It is an OOB role, not created by Finance Systems. Full global sysadmin rights for advanced troubleshooting, and configuration tasks such as working with Master files, etc.
  • EDAServ Named Admin - This is an additional administrative permission that exists on the Reporting Server. It is an OOB role that comes with the product, and allows view/edit of items such as adapters and applications, as well as other system-level permissions.
