In Webex Meetings, participants can raise their hand to obtain the attention of of the Host. Webex also refers to this button as "Ask to Speak" when using Webex Events. 

  • The Host will see the Participants in the order that they raised their hands.

  • The rest of the Participants will remain in alphabetical order below those raising their hands.

Raising Hand in Meeting

 Desktop App
  • If you need to open your Participant Panel (shown above), do so by clicking on the Participants button that sits at the bottom of the window.

  • In the Participant Panel, click on the hand icon that resides next to your own name. The hand appears when you hover your cursor over your name.

  • Click this button again to lower your hand.

 Web App
  • Click on the ellipsis button near the red X.

  • Click Raise Hand.

  • Repeat these steps to lower your Hand.
