Congratulations on receiving your NTIA laptop.
Please follow the steps below to setup up your laptop.
Double-check that you have the following items:
Laptop
Laptop charger
Hotspot
Hotspot charger
To get started, power up the laptop and proceed with the following steps:
Power on mobile hotspot.
The hotspots come preconfigured and automatically connect with your laptop when powered on.
If your hotspot does not automatically connect then follow this link: Connect to Your Hotspot
On the login page select you name and enter the temporary password.
Temporary Password: Applesauce1
Next, click on the top right drop down menu and select “Settings”.
In the Settings menu, scroll down until you find “Users” and select it.
Once on the Users window, locate and click on “Password”.
This action will open the change password menu where you will enter the temporary password as the “current password” and then set your preferred new password.
Once you have successfully set your new password then we can then move on to setting up NetIDs.
