Faculty, Staff, and Students who are experiencing issues with OneDrive or SharePoint on a computer may follow this guide to reset the OneDrive App. Resetting the app will help to resolve sync issues between your computer and the cloud.

Before following this guide, try following the Sign out of OneDrive guide.

Windows

  1. On your keyboard, press Windows + R to open the Run window.

  2. Copy and paste the follow code into the window:

    %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset
  3. Press Enter.

  4. The OneDrive icon will disappear and then reappear.

  5. Navigate to s.uconn.edu/onedrive.

    1. Click on My Files in the lefthand menu.

    2. Click on Sync in the top toolbar.

    3. Follow this guide if you need help: OneDrive - Windows Desktop Sync

  6. Allow your computer some time to resynchronize itself with the cloud.

  7. Reach out to techsupport@uconn.edu if you continue to have issues after following these steps.
