Set Permissions

 To assign or modify permissions on your space, select Space Tools (lower left corner of your space).


After you open Space tools, select Permissions


The Permissions page will open. You will add groups and users permissions by selecting Edit Permissions for the type of access.

“Anonymous “ settings apply to public access. If you want everyone to see your space but not edit or add to the content you would only enable “View.” If you want to restrict access, you would leave the default values specifying no access.


To add (for example) the Project Managers (Space Administrators) group. Select Edit Permissions under the Group category and enter "project-managers" and select Add. (see below)



Check all desired permissions for the "project-managers" group.


NOTE: Make sure to save your settings by selecting "Save All" (bottom left - see below)


Below is the result of the settings described above:


To add users and set permissions, select “Edit Permissions” for the Individual users category and perform the same function. 

The example below illustrates the addition of Robert Allen.  You can enter either the name or NetID and select “Add.” Check the desired permissions and select “Save All” at the bottom of the page.



To change permissions for the general public select Edit Permissions for the Anonymous Access category.  Set permissions for any Confluence user regardless of department or organization. Select “Save All” to save your changes.
