Data Management, Reporting, & Analytics
The Data Management and Reporting team’s mission is to help University decision makers answer questions using institutional data. We do this through the services listed below:
Store, secure, and manage data access across the University in cooperation with and guided by the discernment of each data steward.
Model, move, and transform data into data marts and/or databases providing our partners with accurate, reportable data. Two examples of these are the Kuali Financial Data Mart (KFDM) and the Student Administrative Data Mart (SADM).
Administer and support powerful, dependable WebFOCUS reporting environments while enabling our partners to securely create and consume reports and/or data visualizations.
Provide predictive modeling capabilities based on data via machine learning techniques. In the near future, we hope to provide cognitive capabilities such as question answering modeling via chatbots, content summarization, sentiment analysis, machine translation, sign language translation, and image and text analytics.
Educate, support, and lead the report development community demonstrating best practices and helpful reporting techniques.
If you wish to discuss any of the above services, please contact Noel McAvoy.
