If you are posting or changing the content within the Message Center module for the first time, or have limited experience doing so, please carryout the necessary changes in the PS Payroll TEST System first and only continue on with the same changes in the PS Payroll PROD System after you have verified / confirmed the results are as intended / expected!


In order to change the content of the message center, you need Super Admin level access. The process is very simple—

  1.  Navigate to the PS Payroll System and log-in using your NetID and NetID password

  2.  Click on Edit Message link



  3.  Change anything that is not enclosed with a "<" or ">" — examples of what should not be touched, is shown by highlighted parts in the screenshot below:



    Tip

     To make editing easier, you may choose to put the changeable content on its own line, as shown below, where everything within the green boxes is okay to change—

  4.  Finally, choose where to post the message:

    1.  If the message is specific to Police Department at the Storrs Campus, click on "Save & Post to Storrs ONLY", 

    2.  Otherwise, click on "Save & Post to All Sub-Stations"
