Instructors can record mid-term grades in the Student Administration System. 

At the end of the sixth week of a semester, instructors must record mid-term grades for those students in 1000-level and 2000-level classes whose grade up to that point is a C-, D+, D, D-, F, U, or N. Instructors can optionally enter mid-term grades for 3000-level and 4000-classes as well if they choose to do so. 

To record mid-term grades, 

  1. Click the NavBar icon in the top right-hand corner.

  2. Click the Navigator button from the menu.

  3. Click the Self Service tab.

  5.  Click the My Schedule tab.

  6. The My Schedule page will then display. 

    Note:

    Confirm the Term before proceeding. If the term needs to be changed, click the Change Term button to select the appropriate term. 

       7. From the My Schedule view, click the Grade Roster icons next to each class in your teaching schedule. The icons indicate grade rosters are available for entry.

       8. Click the Grade Roster icon next to the class for which you wish to enter mid-term grades. 



Note:

Do NOT update the Approval Status field to Approved, as when entering Final Grades.

      9. The Grade Roster will display within the browser.

    10. Navigate to the Display Options section on the page. 

    11. Select Mid-Term from the dropdown menu for the Grade Roster Type field. 

    12. Navigate to the Student Grade section. 

    13. Select grades for the student(s) from the Roster Grade dropdown menu. 

    14. Click the Save button.

When working with large class lists, ensure that you are frequently saving your work by clicking Save, as the system will time you out after 15 minutes of inactivity.
