Searching for an Asset

Staff can search for an asset on the Capital Assets page in Kuali Financial Systems (KFS).  

To search for an asset,

1.  Navigate to the ‘Capital Assets’ page. 
2. Click on Asset. 
   

3. To search for multiple assets, enter the pipe symbol between each asset, as shown in the field highlighted below.  
   

   Tip

   The pipe symbol (|) is located below the Backspace key on your keyboard. 
   

   • All the tag numbers you include in your search will show up in the ‘Search Results’ section.
     
     

Asset Status Codes

• A – Active, Capital equipment 

• N - Active, Controllable Property 
• D – Active, Non Cap FY11 
• R – Retired, Capital equipment 
• O – Retired, Non-capital equipment
