This article is intended for students, faculty, and staff using a Mac and cannot run Kaltura Capture. Mac users may receive a message that there is less than 1GB of memory and it cannot run.

The user needs to uninstall the application completely including all Kaltura Capture related files. It can be done by performing the steps below:

Reinstall the Application

  1. Uninstall the application itself by moving its icon to Trash (on Mac OS).
  2. Remove Kaltura folder from the following location: Mac OS: /Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/Kaltura (if you don't see the Library folder, press Command+Shift+Period to show hidden files/folders).
  3. Restart the computer and install the latest application version.
  4. Go to System Preferences->Security & Privacy->Privacy tab->Screen Recording and verify that Kaltura Capture is enabled.
  5. Reboot the computer
  6. Start Kaltura Capture and test if you can record.
