Using Command Prompt 

  1. Go to the Start Menu and type “command” in the search box.

  2.  Right-click on Command Prompt. Select Run as Administrator.

  3. Once the security box comes up, select Continue.

  4. When the Command Prompt opens, type ipconfig and press the Enter key.

  5. Locate your IPv4 Address; this is your IP address.

Using Network and Sharing Center

 Right-click on the Wireless/Ethernet icon at the bottom right of the screen, and click Open Network and Sharing Center.

 Go to the Change Adapter Settings on the left-hand side.

 Right-click on the adapter you are trying to connect with, and select Status.

Using Command Prompt

  1. Hover over the bottom left corner of the screen and click on the Start Menu.

  2. At the Start Menu screen, type cmd.

  3. Right-click the Command Prompt.

  4. Click Run as Administrator at the bottom of the screen.

  5. Command Prompt will open. Type ipconfig, and press the Enter key.

  6. Locate your IPv4 Address; this is your IP address.

Using Network and Sharing Center

  1. Hover in the top right corner of the screen so the Charms Menu shows up.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Click Control Panel.

  4. Click Network and Internet.

  5. Click Network and Sharing Center.

  6. Click Change Adapter Settings on the right.

  7. Right-click your network adapter, and click Status.

  8. Click Details.

  9. The IP Address will be listed next to IPv4 Address.

  1. Right-click on your Wireless/Ethernet icon in the bottom right of your screen, and click Network and Sharing Center or Open Network & Internet settings.

  2. On the left, select Ethernet for a wired connection, or Wi-Fi for a wireless connection.

  3. Select the displayed connection icon (should say "Connected" beneath it). 

  4. The IP Address address will be listed next to IPv4 Address.
