Classroom Touch Panel Functions

The following list corresponds to the numbers superimposed onto the classroom touch panel screenshot below:

  • (1) Projector / Display Mute: This button will mute the projector/displays and is much faster than turning the projector off and on again. The projector needs to enter a cooling and warming period if you turn it completely off using the ON / OFF buttons.

  • (2) Display ControlsComputer: This will bring you to the page that has the controls for the projector screen and projector, monitors in the room, and lighting controls (depending on the room)button will send the built-in, classroom computer to the projector. Sign into the PC with your Email Address and NetID Password for a full Windows PC experience.

  • (3) Laptop USB-CConnections: Note: The USB-C cables carry the video signal of Laptops and some handheld devices. You do not need ThunderBolt for this option and the cable ONLY carries a video signal (no USB connection).

  • (4) Wireless Presentation/WePresent: This source allows you to wirelessly share your laptop, phone, or tablet screen with the classroom.

  • (5) Video Conferencing: Some UConn rooms have equipment that allows for classroom-to-classroom video calling.(6) Kaltura Live Lecture Capture: The classroom system can record your lecture directly to your Kaltura account. You may also have the option to Live-Stream your lecture in real-time (45-second delay, one-way communication).

  • (6) Ceiling Microphones: Ceiling Microphones pick up the voices of students in the classroom. This enables them to participate in video calls.
