Faculty, staff, and student workers with Outlook email accounts can be given access to Office 365 calendars that have been created by users.

Sharing Access to User-Created Shared Calendars

The option to share calendars is initiated through Office 365 online, not through the Calendar option in the Outlook client (computer-installed version).

  1. Log in to email.uconn.edu
  2. Open the Calendar app
  3. Right-click on the calendar you wish to share with others
  4. Choose Sharing and permissions
  5. Enter the email address(es) of those you wish to share the calendar with
  6. Choose the permission details
  7. Click Share
  8. The individual(s) will receive an email with a link to Open this Calendar
  9. The recipient may receive a warning message about opening the calendar.  If so, they should click Yes
  10. The calendar will open and will become available in the existing calendar list
  1. Log into Office 365 by going to email.uconn.edu and clicking Office 365.

  2. Enter your UConn email address and NetID password if prompted.

  3. Click on the grid icon in the upper left-hand corner.

  4. Click on the Outlook icon in the window that appears.

  5. Once Outlook opens, click the calendar icon at the bottom of the window.

  6. Click on Share in the top right corner of the screen.

  7. Select the Calendar you would like to share from the drop-down menu.

  8. Add the name/email of the user you would like to share the calendar with.

  9. Click Share to send the invite to the recipient.
